The Bement Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) recognizes four Chamber Members of the Month for February, Dobson Automotive, E.R.H. Enterprises, Inc., JTA Foods, Inc., and Krazy David’s DJ Service. The Chamber Members of the Month have been chosen by an alphabetical listing of business and organization members.
E.R.H. Enterprises, Inc.
E.R.H. Enterprises, Inc. began in 1980 by owner John and Carole McBride. Beginning with maintaining the wastewater treatment facility in Vermilion County, they’ve now grown to operate and maintain 19 municipalities and 1 to 2 million industrial pre-treatment facilities covering a 70 mile radius in Illinois and Indiana. They employ over 50 people and nearly half of those individuals hold water or wastewater certifications. Owner John McBride is an advocate for educating tax payers and encourages tours of their facilities. John and the Village of Bement recently had a tour of the Bement wastewater facility. E.R.H. has been assisting the Village of Bement since 1990 with its wastewater facility. JTA Foods, Inc.
JTA Foods opened its doors November 27, 2010 on the north side of Bement on Highway 105. This family owned and operated grocery store offers a large variety of fresh, frozen and other shelf goods as well as a full service deli offering meats, cheeses, salads, sides and desserts. On weekdays patrons can enjoy a warm meal from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. and JTA also keeps pre-made deli sandwiches and salads on hand. Other than groceries, JTA Foods also offers birthday and other greetings cards, movie rentals, lottery, beer and wine and cigarettes. They have a punch card program where patrons receive a punch for spending $25 or more and every quarter they draw a winner for a $100 gift certificate to the store.
